For some reason, once Thanksgiving was over, I was feeling like we HAD to get our tree. We were missing out on something important and time was slipping away too quickly. I was right. We brought home our Christmas tree on December 2nd (yesterday) and had a grand time decorating together. We listened to Bing Crosby and Sinatra, Abby snipped branches at the table for fun, and Matthew and I strung lights and talked about how crazy it is that the last time we put these lights up, Abby was in-utero! We're all enjoying the warmth and excitement the decorations bring to our home. We put up ornaments, by the way, and we fixed the ribbon so it no longer looks like someone "TP'd" our tree with golden toilet paper. Matthew likes our star--it tops a very happy looking tree!

Beautiful tree! So did you guys end up going to Silveyville (sorry, that's probably spelled incorrectly) to get your tree? Was it fun?
I remember that last tree, too. I miss ya'll. I have to get there. Everyone is getting so big. (Like Matthew)
I love reading your blog! Very uplifting and encouraging to see how God is pouring out his love on you all. How awesome is it that Matthew feels like a success and that he comes home to you all each night!!! Did Melanie say that Matthew is getting so big?
